Cpl Healthcare partners with a long-established wholesale distribution business in Cork to recruit an Assistant Procurement Manager. You will support strategy, range and supplier management across a diverse product portfolio, with strong potential to grow into a more strategic role over time.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with high energy, strong analytical ability, and the confidence to engage stakeholders across the business. Strong negotiation and ERP experience are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 3–5 years' proven procurement experience with commercial acumen.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data and market trends.
• Proven procurement and negotiation experience with supplier relationships.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and implementation of procurement strategy aligned to goals.
• Monitor market dynamics and trends to inform decisions and mitigate risk.
• Manage product ranges to ensure a competitive assortment.
• Oversee supply and fulfilment processes, incl. forecasting and PO management.
• Optimise inventory levels to minimise stockouts and excess stock.
• Lead cost optimisation through negotiation and bid evaluations.
• Track performance against sales, cost, margin and stock targets.
• Build and oversee supplier relationships to drive availability and continuous improvement.
