Job summary

HERO Recruitment Ltd. in Galway is seeking a Process Technician for weekend days to support advanced manufacturing lines in a leading medical devices environment. You will troubleshoot equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and collaborate with engineers.

The role requires strong problem solving, pneumatic knowledge, and comfort with SQL-based data systems. Training for SQL and software like PowerPoint/Excel will be provided, with a close-knit team of around six technicians.

Responsibilities

• Equipment Support: Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues, perform preventative maintenance, and escape complex problems to Engineering or Maintenance teams when necessary.
• Yield Management: Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers to investigate and resolve scrap and yield issues related to equipment and processes.
• Process Improvement: Experience with Process Improvement.
• Team Collaboration: Work as part of a close-knit team of approximately six Technicians and Production Core Teams across 3–4 key processes.
• Knowledge of Pneumatics
• System Utilisation: Record maintenance activities in internal systems, use PowerPoint for yield updates, and manage handovers via Teams and Excel.
• Database Interaction: Utilise SQL databases (training provided) to interact with equipment data and optimise performance.
• Commitment to Safety and Quality: Execute all tasks with the highest regard for safety standards and quality protocols.

Process Technician - Weekends- Days

The core hours for weekend shift are 06:30 to 18:30 Saturday and Sunday.

The contract is for 39 hr a week. The balance of time for weekend shift is to be made up of a 06:30 to 18:30 shift every week plus a 2nd 06:30 to 18:30 shift once every 4 weeks.
