Vantive is expanding its manufacturing team in Swinford, Ireland, seeking a Manufacturing Technologist / Maintenance Technician to maintain and improve advanced manufacturing systems that support life-changing healthcare products.

The role offers a 39-hour weekend shift (two 12-hour shifts on Saturday and Sunday, with additional hours midweek), opportunities for relocation within the West of Ireland, and a supportive, collaborative work environment. Competitive salary and benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Essential: trade qualification (ideally electrical or mechanical) or a 3rd level degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering with experience in Manufacturing or Pharmaceutical.
• Desirable: multi-skilled certification or additional technical qualifications
• Experience with mechanical systems, PLCs, robotics, or automation is a plus

Responsibilities

• Support the maintenance and performance of plant equipment and manufacturing systems
• Diagnose faults and resolve issues through structured problem-solving approaches
• Assist with installation, commissioning, and continuous improvement of new and existing equipment
• Ensure availability of critical spare parts through effective inventory management
• Complete planned preventative maintenance activities to high safety and quality standards
• Contribute to audits by providing accurate technical documentation and insights
• Collaborate across teams to ensure clear communication and smooth operations

This is a 39-hour weekend shift opportunity, consisting of two 12-hour shifts on Saturday and Sunday, with the remaining hours worked across two additional days during the week.

Essential:

• Trade qualification (ideally electrical or mechanical) ''or'' a 3rd Level Degree in Electroincs, Electrical Engineering and experience within Manufacturing or Pharmaceutical

Desirable:

• Multi-skilled certification or further technical qualifications
• Experience with mechanical systems, PLCs, robotics, or automation
• Exposure to pneumatics, hydraulics, or low-voltage control systems
