Job summary

Cpl Group in Limerick is seeking a Process Technician to join a high-tech manufacturing team. The role focuses on maximizing equipment performance and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced, automated environment.

You'll troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems, support maintenance activities, and work with robotics, sensors, and vision systems to ensure reliable, high-quality production. A 28-day shift pattern applies.

Qualifications

• Minimum NFQ Level 6 qualification (120 credits) in Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, or related technical discipline (essential requirement).
• Proven hands-on experience in a technical environment (maintenance, automation, electrical, mechanical, etc.).
• Exposure to automated or high-volume manufacturing equipment (robotics, PLCs, sensors, pneumatics, vision systems).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capability.
• Min of 2 years' experience in a hands-on mechanical/technical environment.
• Able to work in a 28-day shift pattern.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize performance on high-volume automated manufacturing lines.
• Monitor line performance data to identify and resolve downtime, cycle time, and yield issues.
• Perform hands-on mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic troubleshooting.
• Support planned and reactive maintenance to maximize equipment uptime.
• Make real-time adjustments to improve efficiency, output, and reliability.
• Repair, replace & fine-tune key components including robots, sensors, and vision systems.
• Support equipment setup, calibration, and technical changeovers.
• Partner with Engineering to diagnose and resolve complex equipment issues.
• Proactively identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to a culture of safety, quality, and high performance.
