Job summary

GxP Recruitment is seeking a Process Technician for a medical device manufacturing environment in Galway. The role requires collaboration with Manufacturing Engineers to troubleshoot and improve processes, including PLC programming and electronic interfacing.

The candidate should have a HETAC Level 6 qualification and at least two years of relevant experience, with a preference for those with medical device manufacturing exposure. Strong teamwork and initiative are essential.

Qualifications

• HETAC Level 6 qualification in a relevant area.
• Medical Device Manufacturing experience is highly desirable.
• Good technical capabilities, communication skills, teamwork abilities and initiative.
• Proven ability to work well both as part of a team but also able to work on own with minimum supervision.

Responsibilities

• Respond to equipment, yield and process related issues; implement corrective and preventative actions.
• Work with Manufacturing Engineers to develop, troubleshoot, standardise and improve production methods.
• Perform electronic troubleshooting, PLC programming, and hardware interfacing tasks.
• Maintain a critical spares inventory to minimise downtime.
• Assist Manufacturing Engineers in investigating and implementing new production methods.
• Assist in design methods, part sourcing and documentation.
