Job summary

Henkel in Ireland is seeking a Process Safety Engineer to develop and maintain a detailed understanding of manufacturing processes through close engagement with plant operations and data sources. You will lead the PSM programme, conduct hazard analyses, and provide guidance to operations, engineering and maintenance teams on risk management and safety performance.

You will manage incident investigations, maintain critical safety documentation, monitor KPIs and support capital projects and MoC.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science or Engineering or related field.
• Experience in chemical manufacturing or high-hazard environments is preferred.
• Knowledge of process safety principles, risk management, and regulatory concepts.

Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain the site's Process Safety Management programme.
• Coordinate hazard analyses (HAZOP, LOPA, FMEA) and risk assessments.
• Act as process safety SME to operations, engineering and maintenance teams.
• Lead process safety incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain BoS, risk assessments, SOPs and compliance records.
• Monitor safety performance through KPI analysis, audits and inspections.
• Support MoC, PSSRs, and operational readiness for new/modified processes.
• Promote a proactive safety culture and emergency preparedness on site.
