Job summary

Next Generation in Ballydine, Co. Tipperary, invites applications for a Process Engineer to join a regulated manufacturing environment focused on introducing new processes and products, including product transfer, in collaboration with MSD.

The role spans process improvement, Lean Six Sigma and Change Management, leading cross-functional investigations while ensuring compliance with quality, safety and environmental regulations. A 12-month contract with potential to go permanent is offered.

Qualifications

• Candidates should have regulated manufacturing experience, preferably in Medical Device or Food.
• Mechanical, Electrical or Instrumentation background.
• Experience with a Maintenance Management System (SAP and/or EAM).
• Calibration experience with ProCal or similar.

Responsibilities

• Introduce new processes and/or products, including product transfer.
• Apply Lean Six Sigma and Change Management tools to production problems.
• Lead and/or participate in cross-functional investigations into deviations, defining corrective and preventive actions.
• Identify and prioritise technical and business process improvement opportunities.
• Coordinate improvements to processes, systems and behaviours.
• Support data-driven decision making across the site.
• Lead projects, facilitate Kaizens and coach sponsors and practitioners.
• Support manufacturing operations in compliance with quality, safety and environmental regulations.
• Work with the site's Maintenance Management System (SAP, transitioning to EAM).
• Carry out and support calibration activities (ProCal).

Process Engineer

This is your opportunity to join a regulated manufacturing environment in Ballydine, Co. Tipperary, supporting the introduction of new processes and products, including product transfer, with MSD.

You'll work across process improvement, Lean Six Sigma and Change Management, leading and supporting cross-functional investigations, while ensuring manufacturing operations stay compliant with quality, safety and environmental regulations.

If you're a Process Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Reliability Engineer or Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation professional with regulated industry experience, this role offers 12 months of hands‑on process work.

What you'll be working on

• Introduce new processes and/or products, including product transfer.
• Apply Lean Six Sigma and Change Management tools to real production problems.
• Lead and/or participate in cross-functional investigations into deviations, defining corrective and preventive actions.

What will make you stand out

You'll ideally bring:

• A Mechanical, Electrical or Instrumentation background.
• Regulated industry experience – Medical Device or Food is essential.
• Experience with a Maintenance Management System (SAP and/or EAM).
• Calibration experience (ProCal or similar).
• A good understanding of electrical components, including sourcing correct spare parts.
• Strong communication skills for working with vendors and onsite technicians.
• Comfort working within a highly regulated safety environment, including correct PPE and zero tolerance for safety violations.
