Process Engineer Bulk Gas Location: Kildare Contract Type: Flexible Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer to lead the development, coordination, and management of Bulk Gas and Specialty Gas systems for large-scale semiconductor manufacturing projects. The successful candidate will act as the technical focal point between the Client, Vendor, A/E Designer, Construction Team and Operations stakeholders, ensuring that vendor-designed process systems are developed, procured, constructed, commissioned and handed over in accordance with project, safety, quality and operational requirements. This role is particularly suited to engineers with experience managing vendor packages such as: Bulk Nitrogen Systems VPSA Oxygen Generation Plants Air Separation Units (ASU) Hydrogen Generation & Distribution Specialty Gas Systems Cryogenic Storage & Distribution Systems Semiconductor Process Utility Infrastructure The position requires strong technical engineering capabilities combined with vendor management, project delivery and stakeholder coordination skills.
Essential Degree in one of the following: Chemical Engineering Process Engineering Mechanical Engineering Energy Engineering Equivalent Engineering Discipline 5+ years experience in process engineering or vendor package management. Experience delivering industrial utility systems. Strong understanding of: Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) Control Systems Process Safety Principles
within semiconductor manufacturing facilities. Experience with bulk gas suppliers. Experience with: VPSA Systems ASU Systems Cryogenic Storage Facilities Hydrogen Infrastructure Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartership.
The ideal candidate will possess: Vendor design review expertise. Technical specification development review/development. Semiconductor utility systems knowledge. Understanding of PLC/SCADA interfaces. Knowledge of commissioning and validation processes. Familiarity with BIM/Navisworks coordination workflows. Strong report writing and presentation skills.
Excellent communication skills. Strong leadership and stakeholder management abilities. Commercial awareness. High attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple vendor packages simultaneously. Comfortable working in complex, fast-paced project environments.
