Qualifications

• Relevant degree in Chemical, Industrial, or equivalent Engineering field.
• Experience in pharmaceutical product development lifecycle.
• Experience with aseptic manufacturing, lyophilisation, and statistics.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with customers, suppliers, and agencies to define and improve operations.
• Lead problem resolution and root-cause analysis for manufacturing.
• Design and execute experimental programmes and plant trials.
• Act as process lead for inspection development and assist capital projects.

Job description

We are recruiting a Process Engineer to join a leading Pharmaceutical company in the County Waterford area. As the Process Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that operations meet the highest standards, while driving continuous improvement initiatives across all manufacturing and development operations. This is an initial 12 month contract with likely extension.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

1. liaise with external and internal customers, suppliers, and agencies to define and enhance manufacturing and development operations.
2. lead technical problem resolution and root cause analysis for all manufacturing operations, working closely with cross‑functional teams.
3. design and execute experimental programmes, including process development and plant trials, ensuring effective implementation.
4. act as the process lead for inspection development and assist in the implementation of capital projects.

Role Requirements

1. Relevant degree in Chemical, Industrial, or equivalent Engineering discipline.
2. Proven industry experience in pharmaceutical product development project life‑cycle.
3. A working knowledge and practical experience with aseptic manufacturing, including lyophilisation, and the design of experiments and associated statistical techniques.
