Job summary

Prochem Engineering seeks a Process Engineer for a pharmaceutical client in Waterford. You will provide leadership and support to operations teams to develop and implement improvement initiatives across manufacturing and development operations.

You will liaise with customers, suppliers and agencies, lead RCA and DOE activities, and drive continuous improvement through performance metrics, capital projects, and new product introductions in aseptic and oral dose contexts.

Qualifications

Degree in Chemical, Industrial or equivalent Engineering discipline.
Advanced degree in Pharmaceutics, Pharmacy or related science discipline considered an advantage.
Knowledge of aseptic manufacturing including lyophilisation considered an advantage.
Design of Experiment and related statistical techniques
Pharmaceutical product development lifecycle
Strong report-writing and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

Provide leadership and support to operations teams to ensure appropriate standards are met.
Develop and implement improvement initiatives in all manufacturing and development operations.
Liaise with external and internal customers, suppliers and agencies to define and improve operations.
Lead technical problem resolution and RCA for all manufacturing operations with cross-functional teams.
Implement and monitor performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.
Lead cycle time reduction initiatives with manufacturing teams.
Implement best practices and design/execute experimental programmes.
Resource for new product introductions / enhancement development projects.
