Job summary

Glanua seeks a Design Lead for the Process & Hydraulic Engineering discipline, specialising in Anaerobic Digestion, Biogas, Sludge & Energy Recovery. You will own concept-to-commissioning design delivery, ensuring robust solutions that meet client requirements and enable successful project outcomes.

You will lead technical design across MEICA interfaces, mentor engineers, and drive innovation, sustainability and continuous improvement within the team.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 8 Honours Degree in Chemical, Water/Wastewater, Environmental, or Process Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Minimum of 12 years’ relevant experience in a similar role, preferably within anaerobic digestion or process engineering.
• CompEx Qualification considered a minimum requirement.
• Professional accreditation (e.g., Chartered Engineer status) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead design outputs for the Bioresource portfolio of design and build projects with autonomy under the Technical Manager.
• Develop and maintain a coherent design vision aligned with business objectives and long-term goals.
• Mentor and develop engineers and designers to build a high-performing team.
• Coordinate input from MEICA, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Automation teams for integrated designs.
• Develop intelligent P&IDs and ensure control-system integration across ACC/CDE environments.
• Support tender proposals and drive continuous improvement of design processes and standards.
