Red Chair Recruitment is seeking a Senior Process Design Engineer for a client in County Meath, Ireland. You will lead the development and optimisation of water and wastewater process designs across new and existing facilities, ensuring regulatory compliance and high-quality delivery.

The role requires a strong technical background, strategic insight, and the ability to drive performance across multiple projects with a focus on sustainability and the circular economy.

Qualifications

• Degree in Process, Chemical, or related Engineering.
• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in water/wastewater process design.
• Proficiency in relevant design software and regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of water and wastewater treatment processes in compliance with regulatory and industry standards.
• Develop innovative, cost-effective, and sustainable engineering solutions.
• Manage design projects from concept through execution, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate process requirements into overall project plans.
• Troubleshoot complex technical challenges and implement performance improvements.
• Identify and mitigate technical, safety, and environmental risks.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives, continuous improvement, and research activities.

Our clients are recruiting for a Senior Process Design Engineer for their location in County Meath. With a strong focus on sustainability, carbon reduction, and advancing the circular economy, the company delivers high-performing, future-ready treatment systems through technical excellence and operational expertise.

Reporting to the Design and Operations Managers, you will lead the development and optimisation of process designs across new and existing treatment facilities. This role requires strong technical capability, strategic insight, and the ability to drive operational performance across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of water and wastewater treatment processes in compliance with regulatory and industry standards.
• Develop innovative, cost-effective, and sustainable engineering solutions.
• Manage design projects from concept through execution, ensuring quality and timely delivery.

Salary is open to negotiation based on experience along with Pension and yearly bonus.
