This senior, multidisciplinary role covers engineering design, product development, process engineering, estimating and tendering. The successful candidate will lead a team of engineering and proposals professionals while supporting

Qualifications

• Level 8 degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Process, Chemical, Environmental Engineering or a related discipline.
• 8+ years' experience across engineering design, product development, process engineering and/or proposal management.
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong knowledge of water and wastewater treatment, ideally including modular or packaged systems.
• Strong process engineering and treatment technology experience.
• Proven experience in estimating, tendering and commercial proposal development.
• Experience with product compliance, certification and relevant engineering standards.
• Strong commercial awareness with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strategic and analytical approach with the ability to lead innovation and make sound technical and commercial decisions.
• Experience with AI tools, bots or agents to improve engineering/proposal processes would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary engineering, design and proposal activities across mechanical, electrical, process and product engineering.
• Develop innovative, practical and commercially viable solutions for customers.
• Lead new product development from concept through to testing, validation and commercialisation.
• Drive standardisation, modularisation and offsite solutions across product and equipment design.
• Oversee process engineering and technology selection for water, wastewater and industrial treatment solutions.
• Lead equipment selection, sizing and supplier evaluation.
• Manage technical and commercial proposals from initial enquiry through to contract award.
• Develop estimates, pricing models and tender submissions, balancing technical performance, risk and cost.
• Lead optioneering and value-engineering initiatives to improve client value and project profitability.
• Ensure products and designs meet relevant regulatory, safety and certification requirements, including CE, UKCA and ATEX where applicable.
• Develop product roadmaps and identify opportunities for new technologies and market development.
• Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, suppliers and other key stakeholders.
• Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing multidisciplinary engineering and proposals team.
• Contribute to strategic planning, resource management, innovation and continuous improvement across the business.

• Full clean Irish/EU driving licence.
• Valid work permit and authorisation to work in Ireland.
