J.P. Morgan is seeking an Analyst to join the Private Fund Services team, supporting fund administration for private equity and institutional investors. You will operate in a client-centric, end-to-end model and grow to own all aspects of fund servicing, including client services, financial reporting, investor relations, and capital event servicing.

A routine day could balance deal funding processes, audits, and investor queries, providing a dynamic workflow with increasing ownership over time.

Qualifications

  • Data literacy and ability to govern data chain in private market structures.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Willingness to develop to end-to-end fund servicing ownership.
  • Experience with FIS Investran, Arcesium or similar accounting platforms is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting, audit, and reporting for private equity funds.
  • Handle LP/investor capital calls, distributions, and investor financial reports.
  • Build strong relationships with client stakeholders and ensure delivery against SLAs.
  • Contribute to design and implementation of process improvements to reduce manual work and risk.
  • Escalate issues to Senior Management as needed.

This is a unique opportunity for you to work in the Private Fund Services (PFS) team and partner with our Business to provide comprehensive and high quality outsourced administration & banking services to private equity firms and institutional investors. J.P. Morgan enables private equity managers and institutional investors to focus on building wealth - while we take care of all their administrative needs.

Job Summary

As an Analyst in J.P. Morgan, you will operate in a client centric & end to end model. You will grow in your role to have full ownership of all aspects of fund administration including but not limited to client services, financial reporting, investor relations, and capital event servicing. If you want to develop the skills to work on a private markets fund in its entirety, then this may be the role for you! A routine day could have an AVP balancing deal funding processes while managing an audit as well as investor queries simultaneously. This brings a great level of dynamism to the role.

Job Responsibilities
  • Working with a team to Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting, audit, and reporting functions for a portfolio of closed ended and semi closed ended private equity and debt funds.
  • Responsible for LP / investors' capital calls, distributions, investor financial reports and capital statements.
  • Building strong and meaningful relationships with Client stakeholders through a keen understanding of contractual and service delivery agreements with a dedication to excellent execution against agreed deliveries.
  • Successful execution of the function's control frameworks through high quality execution of checklists and procedure production, successful partnerships with Business Control functions as well as Internal audits.
  • Bringing a voice and input to the design, build and implementation of solutions to eliminate manual processes and reduce risk.
  • Responsible for the timely escalation of both successes and issues to Senior Management.
Preferred Qualifications And Requirements
  • A proactive attitude demonstrating the ability to multi-task and work to tight reporting deadlines. Organisation and planning skills are key to the role.
  • Dedicated to doing the right thing showing ownership and accountability.
  • Demonstrates the willingness and drive to develop to a position of owning the full end to end servicing of a fund or client relationship.
  • Data literate, understanding the importance of the data chain in private market structures and skilled in governing its upkeep. Demonstrable willingness to develop skills across new processes leveraging AI tools and Alteryx models in conjunction with a controls mindset.
  • Ability to understand complex legal documentation and execute process environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • FIS Investran or Arcesium or equivalent double entry accounting platform knowledge an advantage.
  • Prior experience in Private Equity fund administration or alternatives funds industry preferred but not essential, though a base knowledge of the industry is required to be considered.
  • A degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field is desirable.
