Quest Recruitment is recruiting for a hands-on Private Equity Fund Accountant in Dublin, offering a clear path to supervisory responsibilities. The role focuses on NAV preparation and review across a portfolio of private equity and related funds, with exposure to fund of funds and new business onboarding.

The ideal candidate has around 4+ years in fund accounting, strong NAV experience and the ability to train and guide junior team members while meeting strict deadlines.

Qualifications

• Around 4+ years’ experience in fund accounting, ideally with exposure to private equity, alternatives or closed-ended funds.
• Strong NAV preparation and review experience.
• Good technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of deadlines.
• Some exposure to reviewing work, training juniors or supporting team members is a plus.
• Strong communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and reviewing NAVs for private equity and alternative fund structures.
• Reviewing capital activity: capital calls, distributions, drawdowns and investor allocations.
• Supporting management fee, performance fee and waterfall calculations.
• Completing and reviewing cash, position and portfolio reconciliations.
• Liaising with clients, auditors, investment managers and internal teams.
• Taking ownership of allocated deliverables and ensuring deadlines are met.
• Reviewing work prepared by junior team members and guiding them.
