Qualifications

• Proven experience as a waiter, waiter/waitress, or in a similar food service role.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure environments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Solid understanding of food and beverage service standards and dining etiquette.
• Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and payment processing.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high service standards.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and carry trays and service items.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in food service environments.
• Preferred: Experience in fine dining or upscale hospitality establishments.
• Preferred: Knowledge of wines, spirits, and beverage pairings.
• Preferred: Multilingual abilities to serve diverse guest populations.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide courteous, attentive service throughout their dining experience.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate them clearly to kitchen and bar staff.
• Serve food and beverages according to established service standards and company protocols.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods to answer guest inquiries and make recommendations.
• Ensure tables are properly set, cleared, and maintained throughout service.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and respond promptly to any concerns or special requests.
• Process payments and handle transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, service stations, and equipment.
• Comply with all health, safety, and food handling regulations.
• Work collaboratively with kitchen, bar, and housekeeping staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tables efficiently during peak service periods.
