Job summary

StepStone Group in Dublin is seeking an Associate for Private Debt – Fund Accounting. You will perform shadow accounting, review NAV valuations, and oversee fund holdings and investor reporting.

The role involves coordinating with fund administrators and internal teams to ensure data integrity and timely client reports. Applicants should have 4–6 years in a similar role, a finance or accounting degree, and strong Excel proficiency.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years in a comparable role
• Bachelor degree in finance, accounting or related subject
• Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with shadow accounting and fund administration

Responsibilities

• Perform Final Review before NAV valuations of private debt funds (Shadow accounting)
• In-depth review of complex management and performance fee calculations
• Review and maintain fund holdings for NAVs and investor reporting
• Monitor FX hedging and FX neutralisation effects on NAV
• Assist in client reports production and ensure timely delivery
• Assist in onboarding/offboarding of funds from inception to liquidation
• Support development of junior staff and continuous process improvements
• Coordinate with Investment Advisor/Manager/Fund Administrator for data reconciliation
