Job summary

Partner company in Ireland is seeking a Principal Security Architect (On-Chain & Digital Assets) to own security architecture across custody and on-chain layers for a regulated digital-asset platform operating globally.

You will define and implement security requirements spanning architecture, engineering, operations, and regulatory assurance, covering MPC, HSM, wallet security, and blockchain integrations. This role is hands-on with deep crypto-security leadership.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional experience in information security.
• Experience securing digital-asset custody platforms or regulated financial infrastructure.
• Deep practical knowledge of MPC, HSMs, key ceremonies, and signing-policy design.
• Strong cloud security expertise in AWS for regulated organizations.
• Experience mapping security controls to ISO 27001, SOC 2, and NIST.
• Threat modeling, security assessments, risk analysis, and incident response experience.
• Ability to communicate cryptographic risks to non-security stakeholders.
• Experience collaborating with IAM, AppSec, SOC and Infra Security teams.
• Hands-on with Kubernetes, containers, Terraform or similar IaC tech, API security, or Python automation.
• Experience with Web3 dependency and software supply-chain security is a plus.
• Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or CCSSA are advantageous.
• Fluency in Mandarin is beneficial for regional operations.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end security architecture for custody and on-chain tech stack.
• Define security requirements for HSM, MPC, and signing quorums.
• Establish secure processes for key ceremonies and delegated custody.
• Develop crypto-specific security standards within a multi-account AWS environment.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure Security, AppSec, IAM, and SOC teams to implement controls.
• Define blockchain and custody-specific SOC detection use cases.
• Lead incident response for crypto-specific scenarios with Corporate Security.
• Conduct threat modeling and security reviews of internal ledger mechanisms and smart contract integrations.
• Protect transaction and funds flow integrity by mitigating architectural risks.
• Direct security assessments for external custody providers and treasury integrations.
• Map controls to MiCA, DORA, FCA, MAS requirements; work with regulatory teams.
