Job summary

Noel Group in Ireland is seeking a Head of Safeguarding to lead a pivotal control function for protecting client assets within a regulated European framework. Reporting to senior leadership, you will shape governance, risk oversight and safeguarding policy development across the organisation.

The role involves leading safeguarding and client asset protection initiatives, coordinating with Risk, Compliance, Operations, the Board and regulators to ensure robust controls and transparent reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the firm's safeguarding and client asset protection framework.
• Oversee custody operations and client asset controls.
• Ensure appropriate segregation and protection of client assets and funds.
• Manage reconciliations, oversight processes and operational controls.
• Develop and maintain safeguarding policies and procedures.
• Monitor safeguarding risks, incidents and operational exceptions.
• Support regulatory engagement and external audits.
• Deliver reporting to Executive Management, Board Committees and regulators.
• Help shape governance and operational standards across the organisation.

This is a unique opportunity to build and lead a key control function within a regulated financial institution, helping shape the safeguarding, custody and client asset protection framework from the ground up.

The Role

Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will be responsible for ensuring the protection, oversight and governance of client assets while working closely with Risk, Compliance, Operations, the Board and regulators.
