Job summary

WSP is seeking a Principal Risk Consultant / Manager to lead risk management across projects and workstreams. You will develop client risk deliverables, coach junior staff and help expand WSP Risk Management services.

The role involves collaboration with diverse stakeholders, development of risk assessments, and driving best practices across multiple sectors in a global engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Expertise in project, programme and business risk management facilitation.
• Experience building cost, schedule and business risk models with ARM, Primavera Risk Analyser, Safran Risk, Predict and Xactium.
• Able to explain the results of risk assessments to non-specialists.
• Can suggest appropriate risk assessments for non-specialists.
• Can suggest appropriate risk management actions for identified risks.
• Knowledge of risk management techniques.
• Knowledge of project management and project control processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage effective risk management services on projects and/or workstreams within larger projects, drawing on minimal input from Associates/Directors
• Lead on the development and presentation of client risk management deliverables; engaging effectively with a wide range of stakeholders of the corrective actions needed to mitigate threats and utilise the opportunities in accordance with organisation processes.
• Support project leaders in the successful delivery of the project
• Coach more junior members of the team
• Working as part of the team to develop and expand WSP Risk Management service offering
• Embed and share knowledge and best practice
• Build professional networks and relationships to support business development activities
