Waterjobsuk is seeking a Principal Project Manager – Civil / Structural Engineer to lead a portfolio of infrastructure projects across Ireland, including national roads, greenways and public transport schemes. The role requires a Chartered Engineer with 12+ years’ post-graduate experience and a proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams.

The successful candidate will drive design activities, manage budgets and mentor staff, with travel to sites and client meetings as needed.

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered Engineer status.
• Minimum 12 years’ post-graduate experience in infrastructure design and project management, including delivery of projects in Ireland.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary design teams.
• Experience delivering highway or greenway projects in accordance with standards (desirable).
• Design-and-build project experience is an advantage.
• Strong experience engaging with clients, external stakeholders and sub-consultants.
• Proven ability to develop and manage project budgets.

The Opportunity

An established multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Principal Project Manager – Civil / Structural Engineer to join its growing Sustainable Infrastructure team.

The successful candidate will lead the delivery of a varied portfolio of infrastructure projects, including national road schemes, greenways, active travel, public transport, renewable energy developments and major design-and-build projects.

This is an excellent opportunity to take on a senior leadership role within a dynamic consultancy, with exposure to projects across Ireland and a clear career progression pathway towards Associate and Director-level positions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary design teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, to the required quality standards and within budget.

About You

• Excellent communication, organisational and analytical skills.
• Proactive, flexible and collaborative, with the ability to work independently and use initiative.
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel for site visits and client meetings.
