Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Principal Geotechnical Engineer to lead complex geotechnical and ground engineering projects from our Dublin or Naas offices. The role offers full‑time or part‑time flexibility and extensive client contact across sectors.

You will mentor teams, develop reports, and manage project delivery with strong commercial oversight, leveraging Eurocode 7 and related standards to ensure quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Geotechnical engineering expertise with solid underlying principles.
• Consultancy experience with strong client relationships and commercial awareness.
• Chartered qualification with significant post‑qualification experience.
• Experience delivering geotechnical and ground engineering projects with high‑level reports.
• Ability to influence contract specifications and manage client expectations.
• Experience leading delivery teams from inception to construction.
• Excellent report writing and client liaison skills.
• Proficient in desk studies, ground investigations, and Eurocode 7 documentation.

• Develop professional, technically sound reports and liaise with clients and specialists.
• Produce compelling proposals to secure new business and project opportunities.
• Manage projects with robust financial control and delivery.
