Job summary

Mott MacDonald, a global engineering, management and development consultancy, is seeking an experienced Lead Co-ordinator / Project Manager to deliver environmental services in Ireland. You will manage client relationships, lead complex projects, and drive environmental assessments including EIAs with rigorous reporting.

The role supports a hybrid working model with partners across Dublin, Cork and Galway, and offers strong progression, professional development and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

  • Essential: Degree level in a related field.
  • Experience as Lead Co-ordinator / Project Manager delivering planning and environmental services in Ireland.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental impacts and consent regimes in Ireland.
  • Excellent reporting abilities with demonstrable examples.
  • Collaborative approach with colleagues and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain client/stakeholder relationships and deliver outputs.

About The Division

Our environment business provides essential services and innovative solutions which anticipate our clients' needs across all sectors. We typically work on projects of scale or a high degree of complexity across the energy, water and transport sectors.

Overview Of The Role

Key responsibilities and duties include:

  • Working independently to maintain client/stakeholder relationships and delivery of outputs
  • Developing a track record of successfully leading complex projects
  • Applying expertise, knowledge and experience to make good decisions
  • Developing and aligning knowledge and tactical strategies in line with business priorities
  • Applying knowledge and experience to provide innovative solutions to solve challenges
  • Collaborating with internal/external stakeholders to add value and to support business objectives
  • Accountable for own and / or team’s performance, applying effective delegation
  • Responsible for delivery of projects in a client facing role, and management of client relationships
  • Co-ordinate / prepare high-quality environmental reports including screenings, scoping reports, optioneering reports, environmental assessment reports (including Environmental Impact Assessment Reports and Environmental Reports)
  • Working collaboratively with engineering colleagues and clients to pre-empt risk, inform design (including nature inclusive design) and mitigate by avoidance
Candidate specification

Essential:

  • A Degree level or equivalent education in a related field
  • Experience in a Lead Co-ordinator / Project Manager role for the delivery of planning and environmental services in Ireland
  • A thorough understanding of the environmental impacts associated with major projects
  • Experience in delivering EIAs and other types of environmental assessments across a range of sectors
  • Excellent reporting ability with examples available
  • Robust knowledge of consenting regimes in Ireland
  • A collaborative and supportive approach to working with colleagues and clients

Desirable:

  • Chartered status and Full Membership of a recognised relevant professional body (e.g. IEMA)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong data and document management skills
  • A commitment to technical excellence
  • Client facing and client management experience
  • Experience leading stakeholder engagement
  • Strong experience controlling cost, programme and resource management
