Mott MacDonald is seeking an Environmental Scientist/Consultant to join the environmental team in Ireland. This role offers the opportunity to work in a multi-disciplinary environment, giving access to a broad knowledgebase with the support of experts across the business.

Key responsibilities include environmental reporting, planning and environmental compliance, and stakeholder engagement across energy, water and transport sectors.

Qualifications

• Degree level or equivalent education in a related field.
• Experience supporting the delivery of EIA and other environmental reporting for major projects in Ireland.
• Excellent reporting ability with examples available.
• Some experience of consenting regimes in Ireland.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong data and document management skills.

Responsibilities

• Co-ordination and preparation of environmental reports to support design development and consenting for major infrastructure developments.
• Preparation and management of planning and environmental compliance registers and monthly reporting.
• Supporting stakeholder engagement activities with statutory authorities.
• Collaborate with other teams across Mott MacDonald to deliver projects timely.
• Supporting management of sub-contractors, project management, and preparation of project costings and budgets.
• Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary inputs into environmental and planning deliverables in Ireland.

Overview of the role

Mott MacDonald is seeking an Environmental Scientist/Consultant to join the environmental team in Ireland.This role offers the opportunity to work in a multi-disciplinary environment, giving access to a broad knowledgebase with the support of experts across the business. It is anticipated that the role will include supporting thedelivery of a broad range of environmental work streams, to deliver integrated environmental services acrossour project pipeline of work for a range of sectors including energy, water and transport.

Key responsibilities and duties include:

• Co-ordination and preparation of environmental reports to support the design development andconsenting for major infrastructure developments e.g. constraints / feasibility studies / optioneeringstudies, screening and scoping reports and other environmental assessments including environmentalimpact assessment reports
• Preparation and management of planning and environmental compliance registers, action logs, decisionregisters and monthly reporting
• Supporting stakeholder engagement activities (internal and external) including engagement withstatutory authorities
• Collaborate and coordinate with other teams across Mott MacDonald to successfully deliver projects ina timely manner
• Supporting in management of sub-contractors, project management, and preparation of projectcostings and budgets
• A Degree level or equivalent education in a related field
• Experience supporting on the delivery of EIA and other environmental reporting for major projects in Ireland

• Some experience of consenting regimes in Ireland
