Job summary

Rent a Recruiter is partnering with a leading environmental and engineering consultancy in Ireland to recruit a Principal EIA Consultant (Energy). Based in Dublin or Galway, you will own major energy/infrastructure projects, directing multidisciplinary teams to deliver EIAR and consenting work.

You will lead client and regulator relationships, manage scope, budget and risk, and mentor colleagues while contributing to business development and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years' environmental experience.
• Experience personally leading projects.
• Strong EIAR, consenting and stakeholder management experience.
• Experience across Ireland/UK/EU regulatory landscape is advantageous.

The Role

As a Principal EIA Consultant (Energy), you will take ownership of projects, personally leading multidisciplinary environmental teams and delivering high-quality EIAR and consenting work.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead and deliver environmental projects from strategy through to consent.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and specialist consultants.
• Manage scope, programme, budget, quality and project risks.
• Ensure compliance with relevant environmental legislation and policy.
• Lead relationships with clients, regulators and stakeholders.
• Mentor colleagues and support technical development.
• Support business development and continuous improvement.

About You

• Ideally 8-10 years' strong environmental experience.
• Demonstrable experience personally leading and delivering projects.
• Substantial professional experience within Ireland, the UK or EU, with strong knowledge of relevant environmental legislation and best practice.
• Strong EIAR, consenting and stakeholder management experience.
• Experience can come from across the environmental sector; energy or wind farm experience is advantageous but not essential.
• Commercially aware with the confidence to take ownership and lead delivery.
