Job summary

Dell Technologies in Cork, onsite, is seeking a Software Principal Engineer to architect, design, and develop sophisticated software systems for Dell's AI server and storage platforms used in manufacturing.

You will lead the full Software Development Lifecycle, work in an Agile team, and partner with product and manufacturing teams to deliver scalable, secure solutions. You will also apply Agentic AI to accelerate development and provide engineering mentorship.

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of software engineering fundamentals across languages, OS, and system-level concepts.
5+ years essential, designing, coding, and debugging complex, scalable systems with mentoring.
Exposure to multiple programming languages, operating systems, databases, tools, and hardware platforms.
Understanding of system, network, OS, and application-level interactions.
Demonstrated ability to learn new tools, technologies, and platforms quickly.
Strong communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional environments.

Responsibilities

Lead and contribute across the entire Software Development Lifecycle, from requirements to delivery.
Work within a highly motivated Agile development team.
Partner closely with Dell product and manufacturing teams to gain deep platform insights.
Design software solutions that are scalable, secure, and resilient in high-volume manufacturing.
Learn, apply, and help shape the use of Agentic AI technologies to accelerate workflows.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers.
