Medtronic is seeking a Principal AI/ML Software Engineer to design, develop, and deploy production-grade ML systems. You will work across the full AI lifecycle, from data exploration and model development to deployment, monitoring, and optimization.

You will lead with strong software engineering in Python, build scalable services, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile environment to deliver AI-enabled healthcare solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's/PhD in software engineering, machine learning, AI or related fields.
• 7+ years in production ML model development and deployment.
• Strong Python proficiency and scalable, testable software design.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and evaluate computer vision and ML models.
• Build end-to-end ML pipelines for training, validation, and deployment.
• Lead development of Python-based ML services with good testing and modular design.
• Implement CI/CD and MLOps practices for reliable model releases.
• Collaborate with data engineers and product teams in an agile environment.
