Job summary

Mastercard is seeking a Lead Site Reliability Engineer (AI/ML) to drive the deployment, operations, and continuous improvement of AI/ML solutions. You will translate models from development to production, ensuring reliability, scalability, and measurable business impact.

In this role, you will establish monitoring, collaborate with business and technical teams, and champion MLOps practices. You will influence governance and incident response, shaping the AI roadmap and operational excellence

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science or a related field.
Minimum 8+ years of experience in AI/ML operations, MLOps, DevOps, or related role.
Solid understanding of the AI/ML lifecycle from data prep to deployment and monitoring.
Experience with cloud platforms and their AI/ML services.
Proficiency in scripting and familiarity with containerization technologies.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for machine learning and monitoring tools.
Understanding of data governance, data quality, and data security in AI/ML contexts.
Strong ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and demonstrate AI value.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end deployment and operationalization of AI/ML models at scale.
Establish robust monitoring and proactively address performance bottlenecks and data drift.
Collaborate with stakeholders, AI engineers, and product teams to define success metrics for AI solutions.
Implement MLOps best practices, automation, and efficient deployment workflows from experimentation to production.
Coordinate with risk, compliance, and governance teams to ensure compliant AI deployments.
Lead incident response for deployed AI models and drive root-cause analysis and prevention.
