Job summary

LMH Engineering in Ireland seeks an experienced Pre-Construction Manager to lead estimating, tendering and bid management, ensuring successful transition from tender award to construction. You will coordinate internal teams and work closely with clients, consultants and subcontractors to deliver high-quality bids.

Reporting to senior leadership, you will oversee the pre-construction function across multiple projects and develop winning bid strategies while supporting value engineering and risk

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years' experience within pre-construction, estimating or project management.
• Strong experience within construction, engineering or M&E projects.
• Proven experience managing complex tenders.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the pre-construction function across multiple projects.
• Oversee tender submissions from initial enquiry through to contract award.
• Coordinate estimating, planning, design and commercial teams.
• Review drawings, specifications and contract documentation.
• Develop winning bid strategies and ensure high-quality tender submissions.
• Manage tender programmes and submission deadlines.
• Identify project risks and opportunities during the bidding phase.
• Liaise with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
• Support value engineering and cost-saving initiatives.
• Ensure a smooth handover to project delivery teams following contract award.
• Contribute to continuous improvement within the pre-construction process.

The Role
