Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Pre-Sales Engineering Team Leader for Integrated Solutions in Bologna. The role leads a multidisciplinary engineering team through proposal design for modular data centers, power rooms, and related systems, translating customer requirements into technical designs.

The position requires 7+ years of engineering experience, strong communication skills, and fluency in English. Travel is expected for customer meetings and trainings, with a salary range disclosed during interviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of experience.
• Excellent knowledge of data center design and architecture.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Leadership skills.
• Time management and self-motivation.
• Fluent in English.
• CAD or similar documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multidisciplinary engineering team to develop designs during the proposal phase for modular data centers, power rooms, and cable landing stations.
• Read RFQs and tender documentation.
• Interpret customer requirements from the sales team.
• Understand relevant codes and standards.
• Coordinate technical disciplines (architecture, civil, electrical, HVAC, monitoring and control systems, fire protection).
• Coordinate and supervise preparation of technical documentation for Vertiv modular data center solutions.
• Review documents prepared by team members.
• Incorporate customer requirements into proposed solutions.
• Provide technical assistance during sales activities.
• International travel for customer meetings, seminars, and trainings.
