Job summary

RED Engineering Design is seeking a Power Systems Engineer to join our Dublin or Cork office. The role covers MV/HV topology, substation design, protection schemes, and liaising with utilities and project managers on data centres, industrial, and pharma projects.

The successful candidate will contribute to basis of designs, delivery schedules, and BOQs while ensuring QA/QC and supporting on-site fault resolution. Fluency in English and a valid Irish driving licence are essential.

Qualifications

• 4-5 years' experience as a power systems engineer.
• Chartered status advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Full Irish driving licence.
• Fluent English and eligible to work in Ireland.
• Proficient in Dialux, Amtech, Etap, Eracs Cdegs.

Responsibilities

• Be proficient in MV topology design and HV topology design.
• Design sub-stations, protection schemes, and cable routes.
• Interact with utilities and coordinate with project managers.
• Prepare BOQs, delivery schedules, and basis of designs.
• Ensure QA/QC on all projects and support on-site faults.
