Job summary

Fingleton White is recruiting an Electrical Power Systems Engineer to join our Energy & Utilities team in Dublin with hybrid work options (Portlaoise). The role offers exposure to power system studies, switchgear specifications, protection coordination and multidisciplinary project delivery across renewables and gas networks.

You will work under senior support, develop skills across Dialux, ETAP and DigSilent, and participate in engineering, procurement and construction phases with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree (Honours bachelor’s degree or higher) in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of postgraduate experience.
• Demonstrated experience in conducting power system studies, including load flow, short-circuit, and protection coordination calculations.
• Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Power System Studies, including load flow, short-circuit, and protection coordination calculations.
• Design of switchgear, transformers, protection systems, and other major HV and LV equipment.
• Prepare technical reports, documentation and presentations; participate in all phases of projects (engineering to procurement and construction).
• Liaise with stakeholders to achieve project and company goals.
