Job summary

BnM in Edenderry seeks an Operations Engineer to monitor and optimise electricity generating assets on a shift basis. The role focuses on ensuring availability, efficiency and commercial performance while maintaining long-term integrity of equipment according to safety and environmental standards.

Key duties include asset monitoring to maximise availability and efficiency, managing safety via permit-to-work, coordinating maintenance, and liaising with stakeholders to ensure reliable power supply

Qualifications

• 4/5 years of industry experience.
• Engineering Degree (BSc/MSc) and/or management qualification.
• Experience with electrical, mechanical or automation systems; power plant or heavy industry is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Monitor thermal generating assets to optimise availability and efficiency.
• Act as Authorised person under Permit to Work System for safe maintenance.
• Coordinate safety across control boundaries and manage site access/egress.
