Sumitomo Mitsui Finance Dublin Limited (SMFD) in Dublin is seeking an experienced Power BI Developer / Data Analyst to join the EMEA Data Office Data Analytics team. You will design, develop, and maintain enterprise‑grade Power BI reporting and analytics solutions to support Transaction Banking and the wider EMEA business.

The role requires strong expertise in Power BI, data modelling, DAX, SQL, and best practices in data visualization.

Qualifications

• Strong Power BI experience to develop interactive data‑driven dashboards.
• Strong SQL skills for data discovery and profiling with raw/aggregated data.
• Experience with Alteryx, Power Query or similar for data prep.
• Experience testing reports and dashboards.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Experience in financial services with data regulatory knowledge.
• Ideal candidate has investment banking experience and knowledge of transaction banking.
• Experience mentoring others in applications.
• Ability to plan and manage own work to meet deadlines.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and transform data for analytics products using appropriate tooling and techniques.
• Deliver new analytics products to translate complex data into insightful reports and dashboards.
• Run proofs-of-concept to evaluate feasibility and value for stakeholders.
• Support rollout and training for analytics products and users.
• Coordinate with Business Analysts to ensure delivery processes and requirements.
• Document analytics development for quality assurance and maintenance.
• Collaborate with technical and non-technical audiences to quality assure delivery.
