Stewarts Care is seeking a Behaviour Support Worker for Respite Services on a permanent full-time basis (39 hours per week). The role emphasises Positive Behaviour Support for children, including those with autism and complex needs, working closely with families, the CDNT, schools and professionals.

You will support BSP implementation, observe and collect data, and model evidence-based approaches in the child’s daily environment within respite settings.

Qualifications

• A relevant Level 8 qualification in psychology, social care, intellectual disability, healthcare, education, disability studies or equivalent.
• A qualification or further training in Positive Behaviour Support (e.g., MEBS/RBT).
• Experience in Positive Behaviour Support or behavioural support.
• Experience supporting children with autism and intellectual disabilities.
• Experience collecting and interpreting behavioural data and using ABC tools.
• Experience implementing and reviewing Behaviour Support Plans.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct support in line with each child's needs, care plan and BSP/Strategies.
• Develop positive, trusting relationships and support children to express needs and emotions.
• Support participation in respite activities, routines and community opportunities.
• Observe and report on communication, sensory, emotional and behavioural needs.
• Implement BSPs and PBS strategies under supervision.
• Record objective data and contribute to ongoing assessment and reviews.
• Work with families, CDNTs, schools and professionals to apply recommendations.
