Job summary

HS Financial Technologies is seeking a Portfolio Accounting Supervisor to oversee reconciliations delivery, under supervision of the Portfolio Accounting Manager and Director. You will guide the team, mentor Portfolio Accountants, and ensure accurate, timely completion of trade, cash and portfolio reconciliations.

Responsibilities include reviewing reconciliations, resolving breaks, and maintaining stringent controls while developing the team and meeting internal/external deadlines.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience working in a hedge fund administration firm.
• Accounting, Finance, Legal or Business Degree.
• IT Literate.
• Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and well organized.
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
• Ability to be flexible and work effectively both within a team structure and independently.
• Strong inter-personal skills.
• Good initiative tempered with identifying when escalation is required.
• Strong systems, product and process knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Review cash and position reconciliations
• Resolve break items on reconciliations in a timely manner
• Review compliance with HSFT defined checklists, procedures and controls
• Converse and liaise with internal services departments to resolve miscellaneous fund issues
• Escalate issues and aged items to Portfolio Accounting Manager
• Assist team development by providing guidance, training and mentoring to Portfolio Accountants, setting their goals and monitoring performance
• Ensure pre-agreed internal and external deadlines are met consistently
