Job summary

HS Financial Technologies seeks a Fund Accounting Manager to oversee NAV calculation processes, ensuring timely and accurate delivery under supervision. You will develop client relationships and manage a team of fund accounting staff, up to 10, with a focus on accurate reconciliations and efficient workflows.

Role requires hedge fund administration experience, strong English communication, and leadership qualities.

Qualifications

• 5 years’ Hedge Fund Administration experience, at least 3 at supervisor level
• Accounting, Finance, Legal or Business Degree
• Intention to actively pursue a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, ACA) add-on is advantageous
• IT literate
• Strong English verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Flexible to work within a team or independently

Responsibilities

• Manage client relationships with the Fund Accounting Director to ensure consistent service.
• Ensure team operates within the defined control environment.
• Manage and develop client teams of up to 10 employees.
• Address fund accounting enquiries escalated by Supervisors or Administrators.
• Ensure reconciliations (cash and positions) are resolved timely.
• Review daily and monthly NAV calculations.
• Develop and improve NAV calculation workflows and procedures.
• Review fee calculations and P&L allocations.
• Review performance (monthly, yearly, and inception-to-date).
• Manage the audit process and preparation of fund financial statements.
• Investigate accounting implications of new products.
• Manage client initialization and transition.
• Contribute to fund accounting training development and delivery.
• Oversee recruitment, training and performance of fund accounting staff.
• Address complex issues and escalate as needed.
• Engage with clients on complex queries.
• Coordinate with Investor Services, QA, Client Servicing and Compliance.
