Job summary

Aureol Global Connections is recruiting a Plant Fitter for a plant hire and quarry business in Ireland. You will service and repair excavators, dumptrucks, bulldozers, crushers, screeners and trucks, with breakdown support across yard and site environments.

Candidates should have proven experience as a Plant/Mechanical/Maintenance Fitter, solid mechanical fitting skills, and the ability to read drawings and manuals.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a plant/maintenance fitter.
• Strong mechanical fitting and maintenance skills.
• Good knowledge of industrial plant and machinery.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair excavators, dumptrucks, bulldozers, crushers, screeners and trucks.
• Attend breakdowns on site and in yard locations; diagnose faults and implement fixes.
• Work independently or as part of a team; maintain safe working practices.

Job description

A plant fitter is required for a plant hire and quarry company. Daily jobs will consist of servicing machines and attending breakdowns. Working on excavators, dumptrucks, bulldozers, crushers, screeners and trucks. Experienced in welding, troubleshooting and good mechanical background. Jobs will be yard based and site based. Must be able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team.

Working with brands such as Cat, Komatsu, Volvo, Hitachi and Case machinery.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Plant Fitter, Mechanical Fitter, or Maintenance Fitter.
• Strong mechanical fitting and maintenance skills.
• Good knowledge of industrial plant and machinery.
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, pumps, gearboxes, and conveyors is an advantage.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and technical manuals.
• Competent in using mechanical tools and workshop equipment.
• Relevant mechanical engineering qualification, apprenticeship, or trade certification.
• Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe working practices.
• Physically fit and able to work in industrial environments and at heights where required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
