Job summary

Murphy is recruiting for a Depot Manager to lead our Plant team in Newbridge. The role focuses on coordinating the yard, loading and preparing machinery, and ensuring project needs are met through close collaboration with Projects, Logistics, Accounts and Workshop teams.

The successful candidate will have proven Plant/Machinery experience, strong leadership, and a proactive approach to safety and quality. Murphy offers competitive benefits and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Plant and Machinery is essential.
• Proven track record of managing a team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work on own initiative.
• Lifting experience / working at heights is essential.
• Appointed person qualification is desirable.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Interact with Project Teams on phone/email regarding upcoming project requirements.
• Manage the yard team to load and prep machinery/accommodation for stakeholders.
• Work closely with Operations Manager on all activities.
• Coordinate with logistics, accounts and workshop to fulfil customer needs and keep assets available.
• Maintain knowledge of fleet and industry changes; stay updated on market developments.
• Oversee health, safety and environmental compliance across yard operations.
