Job title: Planner – Mechanical & Engineering Projects
Location: Co Westmeath
Company: Specialist Engineering Contractor
Package: Up to €85,000 + package
This specialist engineering contractor has built a strong reputation for delivering complex mechanical and engineering projects across Ireland, the UK and mainland Europe.
Working across data centre, pharmaceutical, industrial, logistics and commercial developments, the business provides a complete project delivery service, covering design, engineering, manufacturing, installation, commissioning and handover.
Based in Co Westmeath, the company has a strong pipeline of secured work across Ireland and Europe, including major data centre developments.
They are now looking to appoint an experienced Planner to strengthen their project delivery team and support the planning and coordination of technically demanding engineering projects.
The Planner will be based from Co Westmeath and work closely with Project Managers, engineers, design teams, commercial staff and site teams across a number of live engineering projects.
You will take ownership of developing and maintaining project programmes, monitoring progress against key milestones and identifying programme risks before they impact delivery.
The role will cover the full project lifecycle, including design, procurement, manufacturing, installation, commissioning and handover, with significant exposure to major data centre projects.
You will have solid experience as a Planner, Project Planner or Construction Planner within the construction or engineering sector.
Experience within mechanical services, M&E, fire protection or specialist engineering would be particularly relevant. You should understand how design, procurement, manufacturing and site installation interact and affect overall programme delivery.
You will be comfortable working directly with Project Managers, engineers, commercial teams and site personnel, with the ability to identify programme issues early and work with the project team to keep delivery on track.
Salary: Up to €85,000 DOE
This is a strong opportunity for an experienced Planner who wants to move into a specialist engineering environment where planning has a genuine influence on project delivery.
The 37-hour working week, car allowance, performance bonus, pension and Laya healthcare make this a competitive overall package, while the project exposure should appeal to someone looking to strengthen their experience in the data centre and specialist engineering sectors.
Based from Co Westmeath, you will gain exposure to technically demanding projects across Ireland and Europe, with good scope to progress towards Senior Planner and wider project controls responsibilities as the business continues to grow.
