Job summary

Weltec Engineering Limited in Waterford seeks a talented Planner/Scheduler to join our team. The role blends office planning with on-site coordination and reports to senior project managers and construction directors.

You will lead contract and project programmes, develop weekly schedules, analyze critical paths, monitor progress and collaborate with the project team and supply chain to mitigate risks and meet project goals.

Qualifications

  • Relevant third-level degree.
  • Over 5 years of industry experience.
  • Proven Project Planning/Scheduling experience within the Construction sector.
  • Familiarity with Lean Last Planner methodology.
  • Proficient in Primavera P6, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation of Contract/Project Programmes and provide ongoing monthly reporting on progress.
  • Set up tasks and subtasks to meet contract requirements within schedule.
  • Maintain a meticulous database of task timelines and statuses.
  • Analyze critical paths and constraints to assess schedule changes.
  • Develop and update weekly short interval schedules with supervisors and project engineers.
  • Monitor progress trends, resources, and project outputs.
  • Collaborate closely with the project team to provide planning and scheduling support.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with project team, supply chain and stakeholders.
  • Explore alternative construction solutions to enhance project outcomes.

Role / Requirements:

Weltec Engineering Limited, a dynamic and expanding company, is seeking a talented Planner/Scheduler to join our team in Waterford. In this unique role, you will be based in our Waterford Office, while also immersing yourself in on-site project coordination as required. You will report directly to the senior project managers and construction directors.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Lead the preparation of Contract/Project Programmes and provide ongoing Monthly Reporting on project progress.
  • Collaborate in setting up tasks and subtasks, ensuring the smooth realization of project contract requirements within schedule.
  • Maintain a meticulous database of task timelines and statuses.
  • Analyze critical paths and constraints to assess the impact of schedule changes.
  • Offer innovative workarounds and impartial foresight to mitigate project risks.
  • Develop and update weekly short interval schedules in collaboration with supervisors and project engineers.
  • Monitor progress trends, resource utilization, and project outputs to enrich the knowledge base and identify emerging challenges.
  • Engage closely with the project team to provide planning and scheduling support.
  • Cultivate strong collaborative relationships with the project team, supply chain, and stakeholders.
  • Innovate by exploring alternative construction solutions to enhance project outcomes.
Key Skills and Competencies:
  • Relevant Third-Level Degree.
  • Over 5 years of industry experience.
  • Proven Project Planning/Scheduling experience within the Construction sector.
