Job summary

Weltec Engineering is seeking an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager to lead the delivery of commercial and industrial mechanical projects from a prominent semiconductor client site in Leixlip. You will manage on-site teams, coordinate with project stakeholders, and ensure the successful execution of mechanical works from start to finish.

• Trade qualified with a National Craft Certificate or relevant third level qualification.
• At least 2 years' supervisory/foreman/construction management experience.
• Experience with RAMS, permit to work systems, and safety documentation.
• IOSH Managing Safely or similar supervisory training is desirable.

As we continue to grow and expand our client base, we are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager to lead the delivery of commercial and industrial mechanical projects based on a prominent semi-conductor client site in Leixlip. This is a key leadership role responsible for managing site teams, coordinating with project stakeholders, and ensuring the successful execution of mechanical works from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, installation, and commissioning of mechanical systems across commercial and industrial sites
• Manage on-site trades apprentices, and subcontractors to ensure high-quality, safe, and timely project delivery
• Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and work scopes
• Coordinate closely with project managers, clients, and other trades to ensure smooth site operations
• Monitor project progress, address issues or delays, and maintain detailed site records and documentation
• Responsible for implementation of the scope of work on construction/ fabrication, pre-commissioning
• Adhere to Weltec Safety, EHS and Quality Standards in line with relevant policies and procedures
• Management of Site Design and Construction processes
• Planning of all resources including labour, materials and sub-contractors
• Manage and drive the team to meet with all project requirements and deadlines
• Carry out inspections, testing, and quality control throughout the construction phase

Qualifications and Experience

• Trade qualified with a National Craft Certificate or relevant third level qualification
• At least 2 years' experience in a supervisory, foreman, or construction management role
• Proven leadership and team management skills with a focus on safety and quality
• Experience working with RAMS, permit to work systems, and other safety documentation
• IOSH Managing Safely or similar supervisory training is desirable
