Job summary

Cunningham Contracts is launching a one-year placement for a Quantity Surveying student (Sept 2027 intake). Based at our Newry head office, you will spend 3–4 days per week on site, gaining hands-on experience across Dublin, Wicklow and Kildare with exposure to international projects.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will assist with contract quantities, procurement, cost reporting and earn value analysis while developing toward chartership through training and career pathways.

Qualifications

• Must be studying a degree-level qualification (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying.
• Demonstrates sound commercial awareness.
• Ability to report monthly and understand earned value analysis.

Responsibilities

• Assist Quantity Surveyor with contract quantities and procurement.
• Assist with contract variations and measurement with Senior QS.
• Support payments, notices and cost reporting for projects.
• Develop understanding of Commercial department processes and contribute to improvements.
