Job summary

ATHLONE PVC (SUPPLIES) COMPANY LIMITED is seeking experienced pipe fitters for work in Ireland. Pipe fitters install pipe systems and maintain PVC and plastic piping in utilities, industrial, and construction sites, interpreting drawings and measuring/cutting PVC piping.

Applicants should be Experienced [Non-Managerial] and aware that non-EEA nationals must hold a valid employment permit. The role includes testing for leaks and joining pipes by cementing, fusing, or screwing to complete complex

Responsibilities

• Examines drawings and specifications to determine layout of piping and drainage systems
• Measures and cuts required lengths of PVC and other plastic piping using hand tools or machine tools
• Installs pipes for water supply, drainage, irrigation, and similar systems in industrial and construction settings
• Fits piping and drainage systems into position and joins sections by cementing, fusing, screwing, or by other appropriate methods
• Tests pipework and drainage systems for leaks and makes necessary adjustments

Job Description

Pipe Fitters install pipe systems and maintain and repair PVC and plastic-based piping in major utilities, industrial, and construction settings and sites.

• Examines drawings and specifications to determine layout of piping and drainage systems;
• Measures and cuts required lengths of PVC and other plastic piping, including pipes used for internal gravitational drainage when necessary, using hand tools or machine tools;
• Installs pipes for water supply, drainage, irrigation, and similar systems in industrial and construction settings, including terminals, sewerage systems, and other mains networks;
• Fits piping and drainage systems into position and joins sections by cementing, fusing, screwing, or by other appropriate methods;
• Tests pipework and drainage systems for leaks and makes necessary adjustments.
