Job summary

Agricultural Recruitment Specialists is sourcing a Pig Stockperson for a modern indoor pig unit in County Cavan, Ireland. Role includes accommodation and a €35,000 salary with ongoing training and career progression opportunities.

The position requires a minimum of one year of pig or livestock experience, NVQ Level 2 or equivalent, and a full driving licence. Working hours are Monday to Friday with weekends on a rota; on-site accommodation is provided and a company pension is available.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience with pigs or livestock.
• Understanding of animal welfare and husbandry.
• Full driving licence and eligibility to work in the UK/Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Daily care and management of pigs from weaner to finishing.
• Feeding, cleaning and general pig husbandry.
• Monitor animal health, welfare and performance; report concerns.
• Maintain biosecurity and hygiene standards.
• Support team to achieve production targets.
• Maintain accurate records and follow farm procedures.
