Job summary

Focus Ireland in Dublin is seeking a Philanthropy Executive to support its fundraising team and help achieve its annual targets. You will work across Trusts & Foundations, Major Giving, Legacy Giving and more to secure new donors and steward relationships.

You will conduct donor research, prepare compelling funding proposals and reports, manage donor communications, and support events while maintaining accurate databases and reporting insights.

Philanthropy Executive, Fundraising, Dublin

Location: Dublin

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

The purpose of this role it to support the Philanthropy Team in achieving its annual fundraising target. This role works closely with other members of the team to acquire new donors and stewards successful relationships across multiple fundraising areas such as Trusts & Foundations, Major Giving, Legacy Giving and more.

What you will do:

• Support the team to achieve ambitious annual income targets as a key member of the Philanthropy team (€3.75m in 2026).

• Conduct donor research and prospect analysis to create an informed view of current and potential donors.

• Contact prospective donors to schedule meetings with members of the Philanthropy Team.

• Carefully administer relationships with your assigned donors to ensure a high level of donor experience and supporter care.

• Administer timely donor acknowledgements and thank you communications.

• Draft and prepare compelling funding proposals, impact reports, meeting briefings, meeting scripts, personalised donor communications and grant applications.

• Collaborate in the organising, implementation and follow up of in-person donor events, such as Focus Irelands Women’s Philanthropy Circle events.

• Ensure information systems and databases are maintained and kept up to date, including accurate recording of donor income, stewardship activity and engagement.

• Analyse pipeline, portfolio and fundraising performance, using insights to inform future activity and maximise opportunities.

• Build strong relationships across the organisation to gather data, case studies and service insights to support fundraising activities.

• Drive informed decision-making through effective database analysis and reporting.

• Act as an ambassador for Focus Ireland, representing the organisation at meetings, events and networking opportunities.

What you will need:

• Relevant 3rd level qualification or equivalent transferable experience or skills.

• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.

• Highly organised with a high degree of initiative, flexibility and creativity.

• Proven ability to work to targets and tight deadlines.

• Strong prospect research and pipeline development skills.

• Strong project, event and budget management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
