Job summary

Allcare Blakes in Celbridge is hiring a Pharmacy Technician for a 40-hour, 5-day permanent role. The team includes a Retail Store Manager, a Support Pharmacist, a Relief Pharmacist, 1 Technician and 2 Healthcare Advisors. Competitive hourly rates and benefits are offered in a supportive environment.

Newly qualified technicians are welcome to apply, with experience in a busy dispensary an advantage. IPU/HC Technican courses are preferred. Training and a positive workplace culture are highlighted.

Job description

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join the team in our Allcare store, Blakes, in Celbridge. This is a 40-hour (5-day) permanent position. The team currently comprises a 1 Retail Store Manager, a Support Pharmacist, a Relief Pharmacist, 1 Technician and 2 Healthcare Advisors.

The responsibilities of the role

• Be accurate with excellent attention to detail.
• To prepare and dispense medicinal products under the supervision of the Pharmacist in a caring and professional manner.
• Controlling stock levels and ordering medicines as determined by store requirements.
• Preparation of blister packs and processing and tracking claims.
• Reporting to and supporting the Pharmacist in a busy dispensary.

Requirements:

• Experience working in a busy dispensary is an advantage, but newly qualified technicians are welcome to apply.
• Experience with McLernons MPS (an advantage).
• IPU Pharmacy Technician course or Higher Certificate in Pharmacy Technician Studies an advantage
