Job summary

Lead Group Ireland is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance operations on a major pharmaceutical site in Limerick. You will manage a large team of maintenance technicians, delivering corrective and preventative maintenance programmes in a highly regulated environment.

You will lead maintenance strategy development, drive safety culture and ensure compliance with GMP and site standards while coordinating with engineering teams and external contractors.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience managing large or multi-disciplinary maintenance teams.
• Experience within the pharmaceutical sector or other GMP-regulated environments is essential.
• Relevant trade qualification or degree in Engineering, Maintenance, or related technical discipline.
• Strong knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance practices, reliability principles and safety systems.
• Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, compliance-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of maintenance technicians, promoting a strong culture of safety, performance and continuous improvement.
• Oversee all corrective and preventative maintenance activities, ensuring full compliance with GMP, site standards and regulatory requirements.
• Develop maintenance strategies that optimise equipment reliability, reduce downtime and enhance operational performance.
• Work closely with site stakeholders, engineering teams and external contractors to support daily operations and ongoing project work.
• Manage maintenance KPIs, budgets and resource planning.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all maintenance functions.
