Job summary

MSD Ireland is seeking a Senior Specialist, Financial Planning & Analysis on a 23-month contract. You will lead financial planning, controls, and reporting across site finance and operations, partnering with leadership to drive budgeting, forecasting, and performance metrics.

Key duties include SOX compliance, R&D tax credits submissions, and capital project analysis. The role requires 5+ years in pharma FP&A, strong business partnering, and proven leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in pharma FP&A or similarExperience in business partnering within manufacturingKnowledge of Six Sigma/Lean with continuous improvement focusExperience preparing applications for Irish grants, subsidies, tax incentives
• Experience in planning, budgeting and forecasting processes
• Inventory accounting and manufacturing variances understanding
• Knowledge of SAP and BPC preferable
• Proactive and innovative with strong communication skills
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work to tight deadlines

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and monitor internal financial controls and procedures, including SOX compliance.
• Lead the preparation of R&D Tax Credits submissions and Government Grants claims.
• Provide financial business partnering to leadership and departments, including budgeting and forecasting cycles.
• Perform Monthly Performance Reporting and explain variances, and support monthly close activities.
• Participate in site governance and drive financial stewardship and performance metrics.
• Drive continuous process improvement, standardization and stability with Six Sigma tools.
• Collaborate with Global Engineering Services and Science & Technology on capital investments.
• Contribute to cross-site FP&A initiatives and staff development.
