Job summary
Jazz Pharmaceuticals is seeking an Automation Engineer to join the global automation engineering function. The role maintains and improves Manufacturing Process Control Systems, supports new deployments, and ensures compliance with cGxP and site standards across Jazz manufacturing sites in Ireland.
The position requires collaboration with Site Engineering, QA and IS Compliance, troubleshooting faults, implementing hardware/software changes, and driving safety and efficiency improvements using
Qualifications
- Experience with Distributed Control and Safety Systems, and PLC/DCS maintenance.
- Understanding of Batch processing and batch control.
- Familiarity with GMP, GAMP and validation concepts.
- SQL database experience and data reporting.
- Ability to install and configure Rockwell and Siemens process control software.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve Manufacturing Process Control Systems.
- Support deployment of new process control and safety systems across sites.
- Ensure compliance with cGxP and site standards; complete audits/CAPAs as needed.
- Collaborate with Site Engineering, QA and IS Compliance for problem resolution.
- Communicate changes ahead of production schedules and document changes.
- Identify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency and safety.
